Hola... I'm linking to an old story, published in the L.A. Times in September of this year, written by Jonathon Turley.

It's on my mind today, because I just found out that next month my youngest brother will be shipping out to Iraq. He's in the Army, and he first heard of his upcoming departure not from his commanding officers, but on CNN. After hearing the report on CNN, he started asking around and, indeed, the information was confirmed.

Turley's L.A. Times piece describes the struggle of one of many parents trying to buy body armor to send to their children fighting in Iraq. Evidently, there are not enough modern Interceptor vests to go around and soldiers are being issued Vietnam era flak jackets that simply are not able to protect against today's weapons.
